DESCRIPTION:About the 4-day course: As part of our Safety Series\, this comprehensive safety program is designed for anyone involved in the construction industry. Participants will be provided an in-depth review of hazard awareness with emphasis placed on areas in construction that most commonly result in worker injury or property damage. Participants will review additional topics to provide training on the recognition\, avoidance\, abatement and prevention of workplace hazards on a construction site. Training consists of four classes (Jan. 1\, Feb. 24\, Mar. 16\, and Mar. 30\, 2027)\, each 7.5 hours in length. Participants must attend all four classes to receive an OSHA 30-hour card. Topics listed below are subject to change: Introduction to OSHA Fall (focus four) Personal protective & life saving equipment Hand and power tools Materials handling\, storage\, use and disposal Managing safety and health Electrocution (focus four) Concrete and masonry construction Scaffolds Powered industrial lifts Ergonomics Health hazards in construction Struck by (focus four) Stairways and ladders Confined space entry Welding and cutting Fire protection and prevention Caught in between (focus four) Motor vehicles\, mechanized equipment\, ropes\, signs\, signals Cranes\, derricks\, hoists\, elevators & conveyors Excavations Demolition Global harmonized systemA minimum number of 4 registered participants are required to have this class.
