Area 10 Leadership Conference
Join home building association leaders, members, and industry professionals from Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin for the Area 10 Leadership Conference, April 1–2, 2027, in beautiful downtown Sioux Falls. The conference will be held in the Steel District at the Canopy by Hilton Sioux Falls Downtown.
This conference offers an outstanding opportunity to connect with leaders from across Area 10, exchange ideas, build valuable relationships, and gain practical knowledge to strengthen your association, business, and community. In conjunction with the conference, NAHB will also present educational and leadership sessions. Additional information about those sessions will be shared as it becomes available.
This year’s conference will feature dynamic speakers and practical sessions focused on strengthening communication, building better teams, navigating conflict, and turning goals into action.
Tom Henderson, Founder and Executive Director of RESGEN
Tom Henderson is the founder and executive director of RESGEN and a Maxwell Leadership Certified Speaker, Trainer, and Coach. Since founding RESGEN in 2010, Tom has spoken to hundreds of thousands of people at events across the country. Through engaging stories, humor, and lessons drawn from his own experiences, he encourages audiences to grow as leaders, strengthen their relationships, and take meaningful action. Tom is a graduate of the University of Sioux Falls and Sioux Falls Seminary and has more than 25 years of leadership and ministry experience.
Tom will present the keynote “ALL HEART Leadership: Being the Leader Your Team Needs.” This presentation will explore what it means to lead with authenticity, purpose, and a genuine commitment to the people around you.
Tom will also lead the breakout session “From Intention to Action: Moving from ‘I Want’ to ‘I Will.’” Attendees will gain practical strategies for moving beyond good intentions and turning their goals and ideas into meaningful action.
Andora Hinton, Founder and CEO of Willow North Growth Partners
Andora Hinton is the founder and CEO of Willow North Growth Partners, a boutique leadership and training firm that helps executives and teams unlock their potential and achieve excellence. With more than 26 years of experience in sales, coaching, and leadership development, she creates programs that transform communication, collaboration, and performance.
Andora will present “Lead the Moment™ – Strategic Communication, Self-Awareness, and Mindful Leadership.” This session will explore how self-awareness, intentional communication, and setting ego aside can help leaders better serve their teams and organizations. Attendees will learn strategies for communicating effectively at every level, understanding their impact on others, appreciating different perspectives, and moving from a “me” mindset to a “we” mindset.
She will also lead the breakout session “Conflict Reimagined™ – Preventing Unnecessary Conflict and Responding Productively.” Attendees will examine how assumptions, poor listening, unclear expectations, and emotional reactions can create unnecessary conflict. Andora will provide practical tools for recognizing conflict triggers, preventing escalation, addressing concerns without blame, and navigating difficult conversations with clarity and respect.
Together, these speakers and sessions, along with valuable networking opportunities, will give attendees new ideas, meaningful connections, and actionable tools to become more intentional, courageous, and effective leaders within your association, business, and community.
